《飞龙再生》由英皇多媒体集团（EMG）投资及制作，制作经费高达3亿港元，破香港影坛纪录。传说只要得到“再生龙章”的力量，死后便变成永远不灭的“不死人”。国际人蛇集团主脑“蛇魔”要绑架神秘华籍小孩Jai，其手下李斯与香港特警阿狄两度交锋，最终掳走Jai。阿狄远赴爱尔兰追捕李斯，在前女友妮歌穿针引线下，到英国与屈逊查得李斯的货船抵达码头，众人一番争斗后，阿狄舍身保住Jai的性命，自己却被淹死。而Jai身上的铁章却让另一个阿狄出现，并且拥有伤口瞬间自愈的能力，而且自己已经拥有超乎常人的体能。但“蛇魔”再次将Jai掳去并夺去他的“龙章”，获得了再生力量，超能力已超越阿狄……。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
